Levi Stubbs Jr. R.I.P.

The voice of the Four Tops, Levi Stubbs Jr. has died at his home in Detroit. He was 72.
Levi had been ill for several years, and passed away in his sleep. He was among the giants of Soul Music and possible the greatest of all the great voices at Motown in the 1960s, fronting such immortal hits as BABY I NEED YOUR LOVING, REACH OUT I’LL BE THERE, I CAN’T HELP MYSELF, IT’S THE SAME OLD SONG, BERNADETTE, WALK AWAY RENEE & SOMETHING ABOUT YOU.
Abdul “Duke” Fakir is now the sole surviving Top.
